WHAT HAPPENS IN ENGLISH CLUB? Games! Stories! Chatting! Fun!!!! WELCOME TO THE CLUB! We start each Club meeting with easy speaking tasks to warm up and get ready. Every child has a different task and must speak. I help them with pronunciation and vocabulary so that they can say a grammatically perfect sentence. That is how we spend the first 10 minutes. Card games are very popular and help build vocabulary. We can choose from a dozen different Uno sets! We also play Spot-It Zoo, Gramtet, and Pictionary Air. While we play, kids naturally learn (or acquire) social and practical English phrases. They will know when to use them and how to pronounce them perfectly. HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM LESSONS AT SCHOOL? Small groups: 3-6 kids Relaxed atmosphere No books! Individual attention from a pro teacher English Club activities are designed to complement the school curriculum starting from grade 5. Kids can practice what they are learning and get effective feedback on grammar and pronunciation. Vocabulary building is at the heart of Club activities. Kids in English Club Level 1 are working towards CEFR Level A1. This requires an active vocabulary of 500-700 words. English Club provides kids a safe space to explore English and take risks without worrying about "the right answer." HOW CAN I BE SURE? Contact me and book a free lesson!
